Munwatch (and MunSolve) have submitted comprehensive input on the budget, budget related policies and tariffs. It was mostly ignored by Councillors and Council. We have referred it to the new North West Premier - no response! We have now referred it to the Hon. Deputy Minister for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs. It is our view that participatory local democracy as envisaged in the Constitution is not practiced in Rustenburg, but maliciously pretended for mere compliance. We do not accept it. We stand for meaningful engagement and two-way communication, especially with those who stand to foot the bill. Join the winning team at Munwatch - we demonstrate the better way!
