Murray has been active in youth activities and programs for over thirty years in our community and continues today serving on the Carencro Parks and Recreation Board of Directors. As the Departmental Director, I witnessed Murray as a coach, coordinator, and a dedicated volunteer. Murray served on the City-Parish Recreation Advisory Commission for two terms, and was instrumental in the successful approval of a recreation millage in Carencro. He has positively impacted the growth and development of youth sports in Lafayette Parish. He is a successful businessman and entertains the community with his comedy shows throughout the year.
