Mushrooms May Cut Breast Cancer Risk by 65%: Eating just 11 grams daily of mushrooms may cut women’s risk of breast cancer by a stunning 65% according to this study out of South Korea. More importantly, the benefit seemed to be concentrated in younger, premenopausal women, who saw a 70% risk reduction for ER+ breast cancer (which is the most common form diagnosed). The most common types of mushroom consumed by the women in this study were oyster mushrooms, oak mushroom, button mushroom and “winter fungus”. Lab studies have already shown how certain compounds found in mushrooms (like beta-glucans) not only directly kill breast cancer cells but also boost the immune system to fight cancer. And other population studies have also found similar strong benefits for women eating mushrooms. The news gets even better for women who also drink green tea. A recent study out of China found that women drinking one cup of green tea daily in addition to eating mushrooms had nearly 90% less risk of breast cancer. Mushrooms just might be the next anti-cancer superfood, and should be considered as part of a healthy, varied diet with plentiful vegetables, fruit and whole foods. #Mushrooms #BreastCancer #Shiitake #glucan ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20432168 to know more about trevo visit trevocorporate/coach/jennyInyiekwe or send me a mail on janeinyiekwe@yahoo or ping me on 270EBA90 or whatssap me on 08035857449.
