Music was a very important part of writing Playing Hard to Forget. Many character traits and plot lines were inspired by a playlist of about twenty songs. The most important ones being Indigo Eyes by Peter Murphy, This Wheels On Fire by Siouxsie and the Banshees, and Moth in the Porchlight by Folly and the Hunter. These three had the biggest influence on the process. Indigo Eyes being Ethan, This Wheels On Fire for the entire second part of the novel, and Moth in the Porchlight for Ethan and Liams secret relationship and Fionas hand in things. Each song on the playlist I am going to link to below had a major hand in helping me develop Ethan, Liam, and the rest of the characters. If you like any of these songs, please take a minute to buy their stuff from your music store of choice. A lot of these bands are indie artists and rely on word of mouth for sales. youtube/playlist?list=PLUnI-l9wTyc3YczWbVVVvWe54l9oWTTk9
