So, Ive decided to forego Furpocalypse this year and go to Unthrocon instead. I have a couple of reasons for doing this, but the biggest reason is that as EIF is growing and becoming more and more active, I feel that being there for the closest furry con to East Idaho is kind of a big deal, and I plan to put on one hell of a gathering for the EIF and U2F2 groups. Utah is a second home to me and theres tons Id love to share with the furs who havent made it down that way in a while. So Ill be staying to make that happen. The other reason is that there just isnt money for a flight to New England this year, and Im still a bit...reluctant, to run into some of the folks that kind of trashed the efforts to save FurFright last year, which I was a part of. I think another year of space from some of the nastier folks that ruined that experience might be good for me, and putting together an awesome furmeet over the course of four days is going to really make me feel like Im doing the good that Ive always wanted to do. So thats my choice. :) I am, however, very glad to see that Furpocalypse is rising from the ashes of FurFright, and hope the con becomes as successful as FF was. Peace to all the friends I made in New England. Ill be seeing you in 2015 most likely. :)
