Musically-talented seven-year-old Celine Tam, who is a Year 3 student at Beacon Hill School (BHS), was on the cover page of the latest edition of Oriental Sunday, a Chinese-language weekly magazine, for an article on her musical achievement. Celine first rose to fame as a young singer last year when she performed on the stage of New generation sound of China, a TV singing contest for children, and her flawless professional performance of the song You Raised Me Up shocked the audience. In the interview, her father appreciated BHS’ supportiveness. “The school allows my daughter to take leave [for competitions]. The Principal, teachers and classmates would listen to her songs or play YouTube videos that feature her songs in class,” he says.
