Musselman High School Situation *UPDATE* A person of interest has been identified by a joint investigation of local and federal law enforcement in the social media threat at Musselman High School. This continues to be an active and ongoing investigation. The Martinsburg CityPolice and the Berkeley County Sheriffs Department will have a presence in and around Berkeley County Schools on Monday when schools open and operate on a normal schedule. Additional details will be provided when available. The Musselman High School administration, Federal Bureau of Investigation, the West Virginia State Police and the Berkeley County Sheriffs Department are aware of recent threats made via social media. We know that these threats were made using a former student’s Twitter account that was compromised. We take these threats very seriously and have been working closely with the police investigation into the source of these threats. Law enforcement will have a strong presence on the Musselman High School campus and throughout the county on Monday to ensure student safety. Updates will be provided as available.
