My .02 cents on the problems with TNA: As Ive stated over and over, Im not a real big TNA fan. However, I am a wrestling fan in general and when theyre in my area, I try to make sure I go. Its no secret that tna has major issues when it comes to drawing crowds at their events. Some of their recent tv taping attendance figures look like this- 350, 275, 200, 650, 425 and a sellout at Tokyos iconic Korakuen Hall. The venue was only set to seat 1500 fans total....but it was a legit sellout, nevertheless. This is NOT a knock on TNAs fans, nor their talent. In fact, TNA has some solid talent on their roster. In my opinion, TNAs biggest issues are the following two problems: A) promotion. Each time they come to my area, there is ZERO advertising. No billboards, no tv/radio ads, nothing. This last impact taping I attended, they did a meet n greet at a direct insurance office, about 30 miles from the arena where it was held.....the DAY OF the event. B) the fans. Seriously, if youre a die hard TNA loyalist and you know theyre in your town.....spend the 15 bucks and GO! Besides they typically hold 2-3 shows at once, so you get a good return on your investment, so to speak. Bottom line, I dont want TNA to fold, but its obvious they need to get some things worked out.
