My 2 Sense: EXTORTION, CORRUPTION, BRIBERY, THEFT It would blow your mind if you actually saw how much money flows through Washington in a single day. What would a pile of $10.46 billion look like? It could fill 2.33 football stadiums. The actual stack of tax revenue would be much smaller, as $4.8 billion of it is borrowed each day. But, regardless of how its created, each day has a ton of cash floating through DC, and each day some politician has his hand in the cookie jar... and getting filthy rich at it. Have you ever met a poor politician? If you ever did, you could say one thing about him/her... at least they are honest. Most politicians may enter Washington with very little after spending most of their own money landing a job, thanks to the voters. This is why the average Joe doesnt run for office. It does cost a lot to grab a representatives seat, win-lose-draw. Sure, not all campaign money is shelled out of the candidates own pocket. Constituents play a huge roll in financing their man/woman of choice, in hopes to have them butter their toast through special deals and acquisitions. With the lax campaign financing laws now in play, corporations can spend a great amount to get their candidate a chair in the Halls of Congress, let alone the Presidency. Funny thing though, a newly elected candidate can enter Washington poor, but somehow within a matter of months, is seen buying a million dollar house, top of the line sports car, taking the family to Europe on vacation, and even buying up land in Belize. I just wonder, how the hell do they do it? The old farts in both the House and Senate who have gathered moss under their arm pits usually retire from DC with over an 8 or 9 figure pension. But doesnt a Senator make between $174k and $193k per year? Somehow, this doesnt seem to add up correctly. The average allowance for spending by a Senator is $3.3 million per year, take in benefits and perks, and you now see how a broke elected official gets rich over night. This is how they retire (or be thrown out of office) in a few years as a very rich person. A Congressional Representative isnt too far behind in annual income, at least from what they claim on their 1040. But what about those under-the-table deals we hear so much about? Ah, this is where it becomes interesting, and a whistleblower named Peter Schweizer has brought the five-fingered embezzlers of Washington to the forefront in his new book, Extortion. In his book, Schweizer contends that the Obama administration has had over 150 investigations into trumped-up allegations against conservative corporations using Eric Holder and the Justice Department as henchmen. Companies such as Coke, Pepsi, AT & T, and Altel were a few of those brought before the DoJ and accused of violation of things like the Fair Trade Act and other loose laws. These corporations faced long trials, heavy fines, and discrediting media coverage UNLESS they paid heavy contributions towards the Obama re-election campaign. When some of these corporations refused to comply, they were brought before Congressional and Senate sub-committees to be ran through the meat-grinder. Almost all of these corporations eventually caved in to the extortion. Most of the committee members were of course Democrat, and Schweizer claims both Parties are guilty, but the Democrats much more involved than Republicans. Maxine Waters, you all know her... the self-confessed socialist who said in a statement that the committee she was in would destroy the oil company she was interrogating if they didnt comply. Waters was overheard stating to the now ex-president of Shell Oil immediately after the hearing, I would be able to understand your situation better if you have a fund raiser event for my re-election. Of course, Shell Oil contributed heavy to Waters re-election, and several other Democrats campaign, also. See the pattern here of how these totally incompetent representatives continue to be re-elected? Generally speaking, its the candidate with the most money who wins the election in todays political battle ground. Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Barack Obama created what is called Leadership PAC which is a special contribution method that is totally unrestricted, meaning that contributions and usage was never recorded nor accounted for by the Feds. Candidates can reach in and spend what they want for whatever they want. Some Senators have used it to purchase luxury cars, large boats, expensive vacations, land, etc... one even used the funds to purchase a million dollar home. And nothing is recorded nor accounted for. You dont have to be poor to get some of that FREE money! Many of these extorted fines are put into such a fund. So, many times we never learn how much was donated to ones re-election. Therefore, we never know how much they took out and for what purpose used. No records... no crime. These forms of illegal money grabs are not new to Washington, as Schweizer claims, but Democrat leadership seems to be more involved than their Republican counterparts. Washington plays this dont ask-dont tell game so as to keep the Feds and public eye from becoming involved. They also have a game they call Milker Bill in which they use the power of government to scare corporations into thinking they will pass a bill that will cost lead them billions in costs, but if they donate, then the bill will never reach committee or the floor. Another one is Finers Keepers in which a corporation is fined a heavy amount, then after its paid, the amount put on record is actually an amount as being a reduced fine with the undisclosed amount above going into the sub-committees pocket. Now do you see why representatives love being on these sub-committees? Washington isnt broken, its out of control, and well beyond being fixed unless we stand up and demand justice, and see that all involved are sent packing home, or go to prison, preferably. These things are just the tip of the iceberg, so says Schweizer. I guess we all need to buy his book to learn more of the Crime, Inc state of Washington DC. He claims that ever since Obama came into office, this kind of illegal stuff has gone on steroids, and this extortion is the reason why no one is being fired, no one is being arrested, and no one knows, as Sergent Schultz from Hogans Heroes said, Nothing!. againstcronycapitalism.org/tag/extortion-book/ On a more of the same, nothing changes topic: I guess you heard that the numbers were juggled before the 2012 election, havent you? Oh yes, we are now learning from whistleblowers that the numbers, such as the unemployment rate, has been fudged quite a bit, and still are. At the time of the election, it was known that over 91.5 million America workers were out of a job, which puts the unemployment figures well above 7.4% which Obama claimed. The debt, amount of deficit, stats... they all have been fudged, and everyone from the janitor to the head man knew it. And, if anyone dared opened their mouth, they were told Hell would have a field day on their life, and life of their family. Today, the White House has said for these rumors to be false... of course they would. Who believes anything Jay Carney says anyhow? So, do you think the election was a tad rigged? I do recall people like Rush, Beck, Savage, and Levin telling us that the numbers were way off... still, no one seems to listen. No one does anything about it. This shows how much out of control Washington and the Obama machine really is, and how much IN CONTROL they truly are. This also shows how much the MSNM is in the tank with Obama and the Democrats. This is no longer the American government, it is a Communist coup. Washington has fallen, and we must save it no matter if we have to destroy it first before we can rebuild it. This is just the beginning if we sit here and do nothing... you know it to be. It will only get worse as they get bigger, more powerful, and take all our money to finance their criminal activities.
