My 20s were really wonderful. In honor of the dirty 30, here are thirty highlights of the last ten years- 1. I married my best friend Cynthia Dyana Meszaros (nuff said right?) 2. was adopted by God. 3. made music with some really talented people at The Rock Music Timothy Cordova Justin Lawrence Alex Krelo Dax Hansen Austin Fredrickson Zach Soper Mimi Eggers Keaton McDonald Ned Wright Steele Croswhite Nathan Porter Joel M Pack (ps. Joel is the freaking greatest to record with if you need a sound tech, a producer, and an amazing dude all wrapped into one), and many other super awesome dudes and dudettes 4. played a ton of Magic with the best group of bros ever Adam Tolman David Dreyer Jason Schofield Javier L Lopez Rhett Robertson Matthew Nanes Matt Scribner Timothy McDowell Steve Merrigan, and my broski Dan. Had the greatest clutch mill play ever against AT drafting Modern Masters. 5. visited some absolutely breathtaking places (Julia Pfeiffer State Park! Seward, AK!) 6. laughed a LOT with my amazing parents Melanie Meszaros and Murray Meszaros, my brother Dan Meszaros, and sisters Amanda Meszaros Van Orden and Celeste Jensen 7. saw lives changed at The Rock Church, on mission trips, and humanitarian ventures 8. drank a ton of Mountain Dew (almost assuredly guaranteeing later life Brimleys Disease. Already sent for my free testing supplies), and lanned a shload of Halo 1 with Eric Yasha Bond, Jay William Henderson, Brady Boyter, Trevor Cave, Trever Ward, Chelsea Pearl Laterza, Mike Henderson, Niels Lund and a ton of other people Im forgetting. 9. Explored every nook and cranny of Moab with Niels and whoever else we could drag along with us. 10. Ate at least 1,000,000 pizzas. 11. Discovered that pizza is my love language. 12. Found an amazing place at The Summit Group and got to rub shoulders with some of the best friends ever who I have ever had the honor of working alongside Todd Wolfenbarger Bill Paulos Lauren Jacobson Julia Breinholt David Burbidge Caleb John Taner Paşamehmetoğlu Christy Whitehouse Jordan Howe Melissa Jordan Tom Bean James Rabdau James Joel Kelly Conroy Jorge Zendejas Brynnly Bagley Scott Duehlmeier Carey Peters Jesse Zamora and a ton of others. You are all the absolute greatest. 13. Managed a record store and discovered a mountain of heartbreakingly good music with Mohamed El Amin and Christopher Brown 14. Managed like 10 different Starbucks and never ONCE gave a crappy customer decaf, even though I REALLY wanted to. 15. Adopted two amazing dogs and taught them how to not poop in the house. 16. was gifted almost 6k towards our adoption fund. Got the adoption application submitted! 17. studied at the U and loved every minute of it. 18. brewed a freaking amazing belgian dark strong with Stephen Merrigan 19. saw the Flaming Lips about a million times. 20. saw Ken Andrews play Failure, Year of the Rabbit, and On LIVE! 21. snuck into BUNGIE with a bunch of employees returning from lunch. DIDNT GET CAUGHT. 22. went to E3 a bunch of times and got to skip to the front of the 9 hour Zelda line with Michael Falleroni because of my triforce tattoo. 23. got to be a part of the most epic wedding ever for Andrew Henry and Cara Marie Henry. Danced to Poker Face. Caught a 15 year old passed out on the stage hugging a mounted deer head. 24. had the honor of performing the marriage ceremony for Steve and Amy. Didnt drop one thats what she said joke during the entire thing. 25. Saw Monet close up and cried. The art I mean not the dead dude. 26. read a buttload of books (ps did you know that a buttload is an actual unit of measurement that is equal to 63 gallons of wine? Thats cray). 27. had the honor of leading a small group full of my closest friends Raychel Irene Bozich Kenny Bozich David Dreyer Breanna Dreyer Kellie and David Glodowski Steve and Amy Encheff Merrigan Ryan and Christina Sadler, and Matt and Melissa Nanes. 28. Laughed a lot. Cried a lot. Understood the purpose of pain a bit more intimately. Understood grace more deeply and was showered with it. 29. didnt die! 30. Loved others intensely and was blessed enough to be loved by them even more so. If you are reading this, then YOU were one of my greatest highlights of the last ten years. I have been very blessed by the friends and family that have graced the last decade of my life. There is so much more to be grateful for that didnt make this list! Today, my heart is full. Heres to the last 30 years and heres to 30 more!
