My 22 months old is still riding rear facing. He is above the 100th percentile in height and has started to be a little bit crammed back there, with his feet usually in butterfly pose or up the back of the back seat. One day his uncle rode with us and feeling bad for our little one, suggested we should change him to face forward, it would be more fun; their son has been riding forward-facing since before he was two. I pulled up an infograph online showing the huge difference in the impact a crash has on a rear-facing kid vs a forward-facing. I attach the pic in the comments. Meanwhile, watch this video put together by the grandpa of an 18-months old who barely survived a front-impact car crash. He was facing forward. #carseatsafety
