My Aunt Ann turns 90 today. She was born during prohibition, the year of the Scopes trial. Shes lived through 6 wars, starting with the second war to end all wars. She never married or had children but she has 13 nieces and nephews, and 9 great nieces and nephews and 4 great-great nieces and nephews, soon to be 5. She is devout and practices her religion as it was practiced in her youth, she doesnt eat meat on Fridays, even when it isnt Lent. She has surprisingly retained her faculties quite well and is the second oldest person Im aware of in our family history. She wont be getting her favorite dinner tonight because her favorite dinner is liver and onions and today is Friday, so king crab tonight, liver tomorrow, but shell have strawberry shortcake tonight and a glass of wine.
