My Choctaw heritage is that of unsung heroes who extended their resources to the Irish during the famine. Hence, I am Choctaw and Irish. Forget waiting for repatriation of my patriotism!!! It was and is Mine. Never in my life have I said the entire pledge of allegiance to the flag of the USA. Havent even gotten past the first line before I feel silly investing in, or defending an inanimate object. Is it the symbology that we attach our pride and joy to? The land has my default loyalty albeit gravity is conducive to regular contact. Land ownership? Yes, this land owns me. -Because my ancestors were the greats of two small nations who found each other in Arkansas... Deported to Oklahoma to live with designated resources (what a foreign concept... microcosms reserved as if Natives are VIP.... Me and gravity are still working together to find beauty in this America- this Land. This land is my land, this land is your land. My Country Tis of Thee! It speaks to the awe inspiring geographical variations of the USA. Undeniably, my country is me and I am my country. Anywhere we are- We are both in it and of it, by existing there. (Hows that for across the board policy?)
