My Cj is having oral surgery on Friday. I’ve started feeling really anxious about it. He’s going to be put completely under because the teeth they are going after are extremely close to the nerve that controls feeling in his jaw. The surgery itself is supposed to take about two hours. Several baby teeth have rooted themselves into his jaw line with the roots completely surrounding the permanent teeth. That explanation is in the simplest of terms because honestly I have no idea what the doctor is talking about. What I do know is that they are worried about severing the nerve which would result in permanent loss of feeling in his jaw. They have reassured me that the benefit of this surgery will far outweigh the risks……… whatever that means. Anyway, I’ve started getting butterflies in my stomach. I don’t like it.
