I was surprised that I had never heard of this before. I googled this and found the foundation of this prayer to be amazing. It was inspired by St. Ignatius which he wrote for the Jesuits. About the Prayer of Examen The Prayer of Examen is a daily spiritual exercise typically credited to St. Ignatius of Loyola [1491-1556], who encouraged fellow followers to engage in the practice for developing a deeper level of spiritual sensitivity and for recognizing and receiving the assistance of the Holy Spirit. At the heart of the practice is increasingly becoming aware of God’s presence and the Holy Spirit’s movement throughout your day. What better way to build our relationship with God than to examine our lives daily? To reflect daily on where we are spiritually or rather where God was in our day? What better way to be accountable DAILY, examining every aspect of every moment of my day? Wow. Okay, I know this seems like common sense stuff, but it really inspired me. Im excited about examen.
