My DD is 11 months. Shes been waking up during the night to breastfeed constantly for many months now and Ive begun to realize that its just a habit. I am all about responding to all her needs and we have been bedsharing, however I think some unbroken sleep for us will be of great benefit. So last night I put her down asleep after a good nursing. When she woke up as she typically would through the night (4 or 5 times), I didnt feed her. I cuddled, rocked a couple of times and just held her while she fussed and eventually went back to sleep. At around 5am I let her have another good nursing session and she slept 3 more hours. Just wondering if Im on the right track? Does anyone have any tips? I dont want to wean completely.
