My Friends, I read thousands of different things because of my particular mindset and multiple areas of interest. There are many items which catch my attention but are just as readily dismissed. Occasionally some things strike a chord in my mind and have a profound impact on my heart. Today happens to be one of those days. The words will be changed to suit my speech, but are there none the less in spirit. I have witnessed a babys first breath, many times. I have also witnessed the last breath some have taken, far too many times. I know that the first and last breath are the leather bound hard covers on a story of only one life. Now as I think about it as such, and view this as my story, I wish to be a writer of an exceptional book. As I write my world and you are here reading a paragraph in this chapter of my life, I want to thank you openly for your friendship and companionship in our journey on this big blue marble traveling at incredible speeds around a massive nuclear fire ball. In the spontaneous realization that this is only my book of life, I must also remember when it is a particularly difficult time, it is only a few sentences or maybe just a paragraph. In that way I can also understand that I must partake of the rough times as quickly as possible and know they are just a brief segment. If I must hurt or bear the weight of sorrow, I must identify it and rectify with equal speed. I understand I must know these unpleasant things. I must cry quickly and allow them to travel well beyond me, only pausing long enough to learn the lesson the pain has taught. I may continue writing my life and creating only the most wonderful pages of a this solitary creatures story that makes it all the more beautiful. One that will read by my posterity so they will waste no time on a sorrow filled lesson, and allow them to write the absolutely wonderful and amazing pages of their creations in what must be a magnificent story all their own. In my book, I will then have only my one breath, and a very honest and warm smile in my memories before I close the last cover. Blind No More -C.R.
