My Gripe For The Day.......What is it with car makers these days? I was just drooling over the 2013 Rolls Royce Wraith release on offer from the Rolls Royce company. It sure is a beauty alright. Has all the bells and whistles. Nice interior, big BIG engine at a 6.6 litre twin turbo V12 ( and you thought I was dumb!) I can just imagine slipping down to the shops for a bottle of milk or zooming off to the beach for the day with my two girls hanging out the passenger window! With a hefty starting price of $645.000.00, one can dream. Im pretty much a Mercedes Benz girl myself and have been sold on them since my friends husband managed to pick one up for me knowing I could trust him with my hard earned cash at the time and, years on, Im still driving the same car! Anyway, getting back to the point, I really dont see the point in producing these over the top and very expensive cars that will only be sold to a handful of cashed up Arabs or Donald Trump types and then, most probably wont see the light of day all that often. Even so, the make of the car you drive, dosnt deem you as better than the rest of the rabble. Maserati, Rolls, Lamborghini or Ferrari ... how many have you seen on the road of late or better still, how many do you own? Is it any wonder that we, the general public, drive the cheaper Asian crap boxes on offer? Be it a V12 or a 4, if it gets you from A to B, thats all you need in the end. The rest just comes down to ego stroking.
