My HONOR STUDENT didnt sleep last night after being harassed by teachers, pulled out of class and humiliated over having red still on ends of her hair. First of all, its been bleached 3 times and we removed all of the purple and green. So after her treatment yesterday, I pulled out the handbook. There is NO mention of hair color restrictions that I can find. ONLY THAT STUDENTS AND CLASSES NOT BE DISRUPTED. I feel that her being pulled out of class and talked to DISRESPECTFULLY is a violation of STATED RULES much more so than some faded out koolaid in her hair. Can I get some other perspectives? Shes NEVER had a disciplinary action in her life and was called defiant, insubordinate and threatened with suspension. Im not happy...
