My Lift for Day #8: It takes two men to make a brother. My brother - TopicsExpress

My Lift for Day #8: It takes two men to make a brother. My brother Aaron and I share a bond that is like no other, created out of many of the same experiences. Today, we may pursue different things in life, but the ultimate goal for us both is to achieve our greatest. I think we both are doing an outstanding job in that pursuit. We are 20 months apart, and so we shared many of the same friendships. We were inseparable as kids and then as teenagers. We found ourselves in plenty of compromising situations, of which I usually escaped unscathed; I was the youngest, so much of the responsibility for our behavior fell at my brothers feet. Luckily, neither of us got caught most of the time. After high school, we sort of went our separate ways - I went off to college and my brother started his own business. Today, he runs a one of the most successful locally-owned web marketing companies in Northern IL. When real estate first took a dive in 2008 and my real estate volume dropped from 80 transactions a year to 20, he offered me a shot at running the companys web operations to help float my loss of real estate income. I didnt ask him for help; he offered it. Having a child and an insane mortgage payment, that helped me out more than I think he even knows today. Since the market has been rebounding in the last couple of years, I have stepped away from handling things for him. But I think we both look back and see that as an acutely distressing experience some of the time, but for most of the time, a wildly successful experience with the companys growth literally exploding to sustaining over 500 local, regional and nationally-based clients. Thanks Aaron... for everything. To learn more about Aarons business or if your company is looking for web-related services, give him a shout at 815-394-2500 or visit petrydesign.
