My Mom came home yesterday. They are pumping her up on steroids for a few days - if you need someone to pinch hit on your softball team this would be a good week to recruit her! They want her to come back for more tests when she is recovered from her current infection/bronchitis in @ 2 weeks. The docs are all using the C word now with reference to the growing spot on her lungs that the CAT scan showed. Well see. If it is Cancer then the question will be whether it is completely localized in the lung lobe - if that is the case there is some possibility of surgical removal - the issue being whether or not she is strong enough for that kind of invasive surgery. If it has spread then there are different options. She is not really interested in doing anything aggressive at this point. Shes tired of being tired. At a minimum Im thankful that Im here no matter what. She cries every morning because she is so tired of not feeling well. I wish I could fix that! Her favorite thing to do is to visit Pala (Indian Casinos) and play slot machines. We were going to do that on Christmas if she hadnt ended up in the hospital. Were going to try and plan a trip next week. She calls Pala the happy place. Its one of the only things that she really likes doing any more.
