My New Kale Recipe to share with you: Kale Salad 1 head of deveined Kale (purple curly leaf if available) chopped ½ chopped red onion ½ teaspoon of chopped ginger 2 diced tomatoes 1 whole avocado diced 1 Orange peeled and cut into small pieces ½ -1/4 red or yellow bell pepper chopped 3 cloves of garlic chopped 1 can of chopped black olives Chopped cilantro Cayenne pepper Fresh Basil/or dried Sea salt, fresh ground pepper to taste Dressing: Hemp oil, 2 lemons Note: Add some protein of your choice. Nuts and or seeds, turkey or chicken etc. Nutrient Information: Avocado: This fruit is 5% -22% fat all monounsaturated fatty acids. There is no cholesterol in avocados. Filled with some carbohydrates, protein and fiber. Vitamins A, B-complex & C as well as potassium, magnesium, iron, calcium and phosphorus. Kale: is rich in calcium, 100mg. per serving, higher in calcium than milk. Contains, phytochemicals including Indole 3 – carbinal and others, vitamins A, C, Manganese, Potassium, Magnesium, Folate and High in fiber, Chlorophyll, lutein, and beta- carotene and minerals. Onions: An antibiotic/antifungal effects, antiseptic properties, an antioxidant, includes protecting some cells from cancer, cholesterol reduction and anti hypertensive effect. (Blood pressure). Cilantro: (Coriander) is both an herb and a spice; its leaves are used as well as the seeds. The seeds are carminative and a digestion aid. Cilantro is a powerful heavy metal detoxifying agent, it provides protection on a cellular level, protecting cell structures as well as chromosomes from radiation, protecting against unwanted bacterial growth. Also a flavonoid, it rich in vitamins A, Iron & Calcium. Garlic: Sulfur compound, in addition to Selenium and Vitamins A and C containing compounds, garlic is a powerful antioxidant, protecting cell membranes and DNA from damage and disease. Oranges: High in phytochemicals, Vitamin C, folate, potassium, thiamin, Niacin, Calcium, Magnesium and fiber. Lemon: Alkalizing, toning and a liver support, lemons contain vitamin C, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium and zinc, Hemp oil: Rich in omega 3 ,6 and 9’s excellent source of alpha- linoleic acid (demonstrates significant anti cancer properties, especially against breast cancer)
