My New Years wish for all of you!!!!! A new year is approaching, and with that comes resolutions, hope, pressure, and a sense of renewal. I think people put too much pressure, stress, expectations, and unnecessary anxiety on this one day every year. Starting over, change, letting go, self commitment, or whatever else we believe we need, or need to get rid of, doesnt have a specific, day, year, dead line, or expiration date. Maybe Jan 1, will be the day that it all changes for some, or for some others it may start off strong, seem great for a couple days, weeks or however long but don’t reach the goal they set when the clock struck midnight. Many of those who don’t make it on their first stretch of the year may feel as they failed and wait until the following year to try it again. Every day, every moment, is a chance to start over, begin something new, or quit something old. No matter what day that all of a sudden you find that burst of life, strength, motivation and drive to do whatever it is your soul craves, that is the right day. Maybe, you will trip, give in to temptation, break the promise you made to yourself, this all happens to us at one point or another. We have that one cigarette, that out of regret and shame turns into 2,3 and so on, right back where we started, because we beat our selves up , feel like whats the point, we failed and are too weak. Whether its trying to let go of something, or someone who is hurting us, to lose weight, go back to school, learn something new, no matter what it is never beat yourself up, put yourself down or think its over. It happens, and it is okay! There is absolute beauty, and self achievement when you allow yourself to accept your human , we all have moments of weakness , sometimes we give in even though we know its wrong yet we finally value ourselves to keep on going. There is more strength in falling down, feeling that one moment of fleeting instant gratification that always had more power over you than yourself, and still choosing to get up. The only thing I wish upon all of you in today, tomorrow, the New year, and every day that follows is happiness. This is your ONE life, screw societies expectations, how others define what makes you successful in life. The only success in life is true happiness and that comes from working to make it in your inner society! So happy New Year to all you beautiful people, but most importantly, Ill say this now since the most significant day is unique to us all and can by anyway, month, or year, HAPPY NEW AMAZING LIFE!
