My North Country National Scenic Trail Route Adjustment Act – which establishes a unified national trail system and promotes tourism and outdoor recreation – just received some wonderful support. Twenty-seven organizations joined a letter to key leaders on the House Natural Resources Committee requesting they advance my bill through the legislative hearing and markup process, to position the bill to then be considered on the House floor. With this great support, I will continue to call on my colleagues to take up this important bipartisan legislation.
