My Portable Turntable - Occasionally I need to turn my equipment, but I didnt want to excavate, pour concrete, etc. to make a turntable pit, so I came up with this great design for a portable turntable. It clamps securely onto any track, anywhere. I just attach the ramp, drive the loco up, disconnect the ramp and turn. Too easy. The turntable pivot is a Swivel-Eze boat seat swivel (WalMart $10.00). Rock solid, and if I want to use the track for car storage it comes right off with two wing nuts. The whole project came in at under $50.
