My Reply to Ogunleye Rotimi Williams on his mendacious,ill-motivated post on the Owena motel/Shoprite matter: Ogunleye,this very post of yours leaves much to be desired in the sense that its type ,exhibiting so much acrimony and mendacity, is very much unlike you. You claimed this banner was hurriedly placed at the gate of Owena motel you also claimed were it not for the noise raised the public would not have known who is behind the cunning deal I was at the ground breaking ceremony today where the MD of Top Services Ltd, Tokunbo Omisore who came with his other top functionaries of the organization addressed the gathering. It was such an elaborate gathering that had many top government functionaries and top media outfits in attendance. The is an event which date has been decided almost two weeks ago and I began to wonder why you, of all people, had to jump into such funny conclusions. Work has already started on the site about a week ago by reason of which any reasonable person should expect a flagging off event. Again,why the insinuation of a cunning deal in this? Youve asked severally on this thread about the identity of those behind Top Services ltd as if people here could produce answers from their finger tips. I knew what you wanted to achieve for your sheepish fans anyway. But now,you know that the chairman of the board of Top Services Ltd. used to be Chief Francis Akintade while the MD is Chief Tokunbo Omisore from Osun state and the company which is a consortium of developers has been in existence for close to 20 years and they were responsible for the building of The Shopping Mall (Shoprite ) at Adeniran Ogunsanya at Surulere,Apapa Mall the Kwara Shopping Mall and the one by Cocoa House at Ibadan. So theres nothing like destroying the legacy of Papa Ajasin here. If anything,this could be termed as modernization of Ajasins legacy as the present structures called Owena motel are completely out of tune with the economic,social and aesthetic demands of the modern day hospitality industry. And according to Tokunbo Omisore today,the Mall alone,will have the capacity to employ at least 2000 people not to talk of the hotel. I dont think Owena motel has at any time employed more than 300. I stand to be corrected. I recommend the book of Nehemiah to these acrimonious Thomases They should go and read about the rebuilding of Jerusalem by Nehemiah. So much acrimony,hate and distrust around him when he got started but at the end the people applauded him to high heavens.
