My Sin (aka Stan Fairbank) was a one-man electronic punk rock act from San Francisco that performed numerous times at Theatre Gallery, Prophet Bar and the Starck Club. Stans music was frenetic and noisy and intense; his backing band was two television sets showing video that he had editing in sequence with his backing music. It was Nine Inch Nails a full five years before Trent Reznor ever showed up on the radar. Fairbank loved playing at TG; after his show with Henry Rollins and NY performance artist Karen Finley, he hung around for a couple of weeks afterwards and helped us build the stage inside Prophet Bar. This was the note that was enclosed with his demo and 12 single. After hearing his record I booked him right away. His shows were never less than spectacular. Dude was waaaaay ahead of his time.
