My Thoughts: My dear bothers and sisters, the world is ruled by lots of conspiracies. The act of governance is much more complex than we can imagine. And good people dont last long in it (except they have good people around them). I recommend we google and read about OPERATIONS NORTHWOODS. It seems to be one of the many sins of JFK, I suspect its one of the reasons he was assassinated!! He was not ready to do most of the bid of the establishment OR the people!!! The world is also ruled more by DECEPTION than TRUTH. The truth of the matter is that most times we do not even know the outcome of what we ask for. But it doesnt matter as far as there is a change. Its a vicious cycle. I know a portion of the scriptures which says we know in parts and we speak in parts. Former President of Ukraine, a democratically elected President abandoned his office a couple of months ago and ran to Russia when he couldnt withstand the stronger international conspiracy against him. Lets not forget he even had Russian support, a world power. The current Ukrainian President signed Ukraine into the EU less than 2 weeks he became President!! Please lets not be quick to say Nigeria is different. The world has become a Global village and the New World Order is gathering momentum. There are similarities of events happening around the world. Sometimes I ask if the Arab Springs has truly made these countries better? From Libya to Egypt to Algeria to Tunisia to Syria and so on. Yes the former regimes may appear not to have done well, but has it gotten better with present regimes? In the past 13 years, most of the developed world under NATO (with all the latest military technology, equipment, and might) have supported Afghanistan and Iraq in fighting insurgency (Terrorism) and have not won the battle yet!!!! How possible can that be someone may ask? Can NATO be that WEAK? Well as at Dec 31st 2014 they have pulled out most of their forces from these regions without winning the war. So I think. Maybe they have won the war by securing the RESOURCES and INTERESTS they went to fight for!! But the war as we PERCEIVE and understand it is still not yet won!! I guess that is what we are asking GEJ to do. GEJ you have fought this battle for 4 years and you havent won it, so please pull out. I truly sympathize with GEJ. And someone said they will make the country ungovernable for GEJ. Yes GEJ is the president and he has powers. Yes we can say GEJ is weak. He should have arrested and maybe charge them for treason and put them behind bars. I guess that sounds better than loosing tens of thousands of our brothers and sisters to BH. Im also wondering if its poverty that is making thousands of young Europeans and Americans chose to become terrorists and fight their own country!!! Hmmmmmm I wonder. I seem not to understand Democracy, I was taught it was the government of the people by the people and for the people. Maybe the question I have failed to ask is: WHO ARE THE PROPLE? From what I know now it seems the PEOPLE I thought are different from the people they mean. A few individuals come together and use the PEOPLE!! to achieve their interests and desires. Former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan has once again visited Nigeria. Lets remember he made similar visit during the Abiola and Abacha saga. I cant say more than this, for this is the much I know!!!!! As Jagaban has said that at times like this we need a GENERAL. So we welcome our General GMB. Thats the whole idea. Our Jagaban compared Nigerias situation similar to the periods of General Eisenhower for America, General Winston Churchill for England and General Charle de Gaulle of France. Very interesting. This seems to me as Jagabans response to PDPs comparison of GEJ to Mandela, Martin Luther, and Obama. It seems our leaders must think we can be deceived with such simplistic analogies. Are we really that shallow in our understanding? Sometimes we need to dig deeper to know and understand the truth. I weep and pray for our brothers and sisters that are being killed everyday by BH, not forgetting our Chibok girls. I really weep. The use of military power is controlled by various war conventions Lets not forget that Former Army Chief Ihejirika who tried his best to curtail BH has been touted with war crimes!!!!!! Sometimes its a case of being between the Devil and the deep blue sea!!! Its always more than we see on the surface. I think we expected so much from GEJ. But the truth is we are not seeing the whole picture. Im not giving excuses for GEJ but I sympathize with him because he has been caught up in a huge conspiracy that is much more beyond him!!! And he wasnt prepared for it. Thank God he hasnt taken off like his Ukrainian former counterpart. I guess maybe come February 14, we will help him do that and bring our long awaited messiah if that is Gods will. I think its much more than bringing in our messiah, what do we do after that? Go back and wait for another 4 years to criticize depending on whether we benefit individually or not. For these past fours years or so, how many times did you and I truly and earnestly pray and seek Gods face for our country and leaders? We need to seek God more now for our Nation and ask Him to direct us aright in our choices. We need His intervention. One thing Im sure is that Gods hand is upon our Nation. I am not a member of any political party yet, though I have friends across the various political parties. I dont have a problem with anybody that wins the election as far as its Gods will for our country. I will support such government with my prayers and do my own part when I have the privilege and opportunity to. But I ask us to vote not from our heads but from our hearts. Let the will of God be done in our Nation. Like the story of Joseph in the Bible, his brothers thought it evil against him but God turned it around into a blessing. That is my prayers for those who are plotting evil for our nation. This country belongs to all of us and we need to lift it up before God in prayers every second of the day. We should also begin to get involved practically no matter how little. Its good to have positive criticism but I urge us to pray more fervently and deeply for our Nation and leaders than just criticize. A lot more is happening in the spiritual than in the natural. The spirit world is more real than the physical world. But most of us are only responding in the physical. For us to win the battle in the physical we need to have taken care of it in the spiritual. Nigeria is and will be great. We shall flourish even in the midst of the storm. I believe in the word of God and I believe in Nigeria. The counsel of the Lord alone shall stand. GOD BLESS NIGERIA.
