My Thoughts Tonight: Mutually caring relationships, regardless of gender-specifics, parent/child,, cultural differences, etc. require kindness, patience, tolerance, optimism, joy in others achievements; confidence in oneself; and, above all, the ability to give without thought of gain. I know that its not in the power of any of us to provide all these things at the same time. I imagine that mutually caring relationships will always include some measure of unkindness & impatience, intolerance, pessimism, envy, self-doubt, & disappointment. Its sad about our priorities. I include myself in this.
