My View From The Pew: Happy Monday, everyone. My view today is one of gratitude to the Lord for His healing power. One of our Kids Church students, Ethan Lopez, was in class yesterday after spending the weekend in the hospital. Thank you, Lord, for healing Ethan and that he was able to be in your house yesterday. That being said, I am grateful for the many ways our Heavenly Father heals: outright miracles that medical science cannot explain, through the talented and dedicated medical personnel that work to keep us healthy and make us well when we are sick, the scientific breakthroughs that He has inspired to make it possible for us to maintain good health and fight diseases and viruses when they attack, and for a socially conscious country that makes it possible for that treatment to be available to all. Have you noticed that the countries with either a current or past history of spiritual enlightenment are the ones that take the best care of their citizens? I dont think that is an accident or a coincidence. I would also challenge you with this thought: to whom much is given, much is required. Lets continue to be givers and helpers as individuals and as a nation as a whole to a very needy and hurting world. Our world will be better for it. Have a blessed week!
