My XFINITY experience. I have had internet and cable service with Comcast for over four years, but my service has recently had a significant increase. I was offered a promotional rate which ended. I called the customer service number to cancel my service since AT&T had offered me a somewhat better offer. I was transferred to retention department and received a representative( lateesha or something isha) whose only intention and determination was to sell me additional service. I tried, unsuccessfully to tell her I did not need any additional service and was calling to cancel my service unless it could be reduced. After forty minutes of unsuccessfully, persistently trying to convince me to accept additional service with increased monthly fees, she got quite haughty with me. I explained that I was previously offered a promotional rate which had expired and as far as I was aware there were no current offers available. She became extremely rude and sarcastically stated that promotions are not for eternity. At this point I told her she was rude and I was really disappointed at her behavior.(I was in a great mood today) I further stated that I was a customer of Comcast for many years and I am fully aware that the extended promotional rates I received was a courtesy extended to me, that I am very intelligent and usually conduct a study of comparable available service before making a decision. The conversation was quite obviously going nowhere, so i asked to speak with a supervisor......Well, placed me on indefinite hold. I am still holding just in case someone else sees the call and picks up. 1:11:36 minutes and going. I really hope my conversation is one of those taped for training purpose, as this individual definitely needs some training. Its unfortunate that these are the people who are on the forefront of Comcast and represents the company. I almost sure Ive been a customer with Comcast longer than she has been employed there. So after 1:29:30 minutes, at 9:30 pm I got a recording Im sorry. Unfortunately theres not available representative to assist you at this time. Please try your call again later. Good-bye. Dont really remember if it said good bye. So Im still waiting to see if Ill get a call back from Comcast. Ill let you know.
