My achievement. Never had it across my mind to climb a mountain! I returned to Lombok 8 years after my first trip there and decided that Lombok shall be my first mountain climbing destination! I spent a week in Lombok, mingled with the locals who are such humble people. In the local language, Lombok means honest and there have been development change in the island since the last I was there. Although Lombok has not fully transgressed commercially unlike its neighbour Bali, but the AirPort is rather sizeable and it retain its own natural beauty! Walking around the island, chatting up with the tourist about Mount Rinjani triggered the idea of climbing it. So I got my local driver to drive me to Mount Rinjani hoping to see it up close but when I saw it, I immediately fell in love with it for the mountain is just so mesmerising. So I did some research, watched YouTube on Mount Rinjani and it made me more determine to climb the mountain to see how amazing it is at the summit! As a novice climber I am all not prepared for the climb but I thought I should just give it a try anyway. I agree that the climb is tough but with determination I made it to the peak. It is not about the level of fitness when climbing a mountain but ones strong will power, mental strength and focus! Nobody will believe that I can climb a mountain but Ive proven to myself that I can do it, irregardless of any obstacles! I believe in whatever you do, do it with sincerity! So I successfully climb a mountain before I reached the golden number 50 and climbing a mountain is one of my bucket list. I accomplished my dream and I would like to say thank you to a few pple in my life who had supported and encouraged me when I am feeling discourage. My family, mom, god-Brother, Siti Nurhaliza, god-parents Kian Santang, my friend Linda Izwan and my 2 Trekkers buddies Rhai Ghan, Raymond Wu and Rudy Trekker (the boss, the guide Mohammed and the 3 porters)! You guyz are rock! Awesome! And Rudy Trekker is well recommended! Raymond thank you for accompanying these two aunties to the summit. When Im up at summit! Kezia Lim I remembered what youve told me! You feel like a King and YES! I FEEL LIKE A KING up there! Im proud wit my achievement! MountRrinjani you make Lombok possible and this is Indonesia! Next, where do I go?
