My agency did a Title VI plan last year and I was surprised by the silent (often invisible) diversity in the very rural county I serve. The way our political system protects itself is not healthy or sustainable. We have got to start running and electing quality candidates (from all major parties) of color, female gender and broader socio economic backgrounds.
