My apartment has been invaded by family, in and out, since yesterday. Everyone here to share their love with daddy. Its now just us, a quiet house, just oldies playing in the background, daddys steady breathing, and the oxygen machine. What a reunion of sorts, everyone telling stories, laughing, crying...leaning on one another. Thank you to my amazing friends who provided food for our Clayton clan. In this dark time I know that God has blessed me with the craziest family and friends that I am proud to call mine. I know daddy was listening, laughing to himself at all of us, and understands how much he is loved. I was reminded how much my daddy loved my momma, and how long he has missed her. It wont be long until they are reunited, forever with God and all his loved ones that have gone before him. I watched my sister fight herself to leave, scared of this last goodbye. Its bittersweet. The chance to say goodbye. You always wish ya had it, til ya do. Then ya dont want to say it. Death is such a thief.
