My apologies in advance but I had a revelation this week I would like to share with you. It came with the announcement that the Republicans will push for immigration reform that will lead to illegal aliens staying in the US & becoming citizens (forget the details - theyll change once no one is paying attention). My revelation is that most republicans in DC are for big business. The various other conservative causes are simply to maintain a base of voters. Democrats in DC, on the other hand, are full-in with the unions. Liberal causes for them are like conservative causes for the Republicans - just a way to maintain their base. So not only will Republicans push amnesty & fight minimum wage increases (in support of big business) but the Obama administration will approve the Keystone pipeline due to their primary objective of supporting the unions. The environmental wing of the party will get a bone thrown at them but they will lose this one. Why? Follow the money. For Republicans in DC that is big business. For Dems in DC, its labor. Of course there are a few exceptions on both sides & in the end WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?
