My best friend has been separated from her daughter for a year. I have posted about this before, but wanted to give an update. My friend and her husband, Kris and John, felt called to adoption many years ago. Kris especially felt called to adopt a child who was deaf. They found an orphanage in Uganda and fell in love with a little girl there named Leticia. After several trips, thousands of dollars and sacrifice, they stood in front of a Ugandan judge who granted them full parental rights of Leticia. We thought that would be the hard part...but we were wrong. Never in a million years did we think it would be OUR government that would deny her entry into the United States. Kris and her husband have appealed the decision multiple times...but continue to be denied. Their daughter is waiting in Uganda for them to bring her home. Thankfully, Greta VanSusteren from Fox News has picked up their heartbreaking story and is making it public. Please pray for them as they have now filed ANOTHER appeal in attempts to get their daughter HOME with her family!
