My best friend of 14 years is gone. Unprecedented in a dog this big (120-140lbs) to get to this age. Just tells you how much we loved him. Lately he had a lot of arthritis and had increasing trouble getting up to go out. Everday he would stuggle to get up to go out. up until the end he was very majestic. He had a stroke, and had to be put down. all the way to the end, he tried to hold his head up high to greet us! I only hope if I get to his equivalent age (98) I will be as loving, as strong and as brave as he was. I have to thank my wife for loving and caring for him so much, keeping him healthy all of these years, giving him his meds, walking him, and of course loving him.
