My best little buddy for 13 years. I have had many cats ( 2 at present) but my little Kat Kat has been the best and sweetest. I have had her since she was just a few weeks old and very ill. She suffered liver failure last fall after I had been away for sometime helping my daughter before and after our first grandchild was born. We now assume she thought I may have died and she went into mourning refusing to eat???? After months of love and force feeding...vet bills etc...she has now started to eat her treats and some table food. Tonight she ate catfish on her own. She has gained weight back also. The doctor says he is pretty sure she is developing signs of lymphoma and prescribed medications. She is on daily doses of prednisone, antibiotics, acid reducers and takes an appetite stimulate every 3 days. It does not appear at present that she is suffering and hasnt had nausea for over 4 weeks now. She does do some things from time to time that makes me think she may be showing signs of confusion but other than that and having to supplement feeding her she loves our company and is still purring. She is no longer hiding either. Anyone ever experienced anything like this. I love this cat like a child and every time I think of making that difficult decision I just start crying. She sleeps on a pillow above my head at night and puts her paw on my head...I dont know how I am suppose to sleep when she is no longer here.u
