My big picture rant about this whole NBA/Sterling/Racism situation is it partially clarifies the reason I dont talk down about or demonize our present black leaders… We allow political jargon to take away from African Americans people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton in an attempt to seem super politically cool… What has happened is the people who would stand up and rally us have now been so baffoonized that we become leaderless. So our response as a people is a mixed bag of misguided anger at The Man, benign indifference, rallying fanboy/girlism, blank-stared ESPN hypnosis, and hope in the NBA to do the right thing. We cant have a real and healthy discussion on race, politics, entitlement, and forward movement because the only entity we can bring to the table to champion our interest looks like a hydra of snakes and unknown quantities in our corporate group speak. This issue, and how its being discussed/dealt with, is a microcosm of where we are as a nation when it comes to race...
