My biggest problem with the #Browns is the fact is this team easily coulda been 9-4 going into to the Cincii game with exactly the way Hoyer was performing up until that point had Cundiff not blown the Baltimore or Indy games. 7-6 was the record with 2 divisional foes left and playoff chances still a possibility when the starting lineup that had got you to that point was broken up. Hoyer had proved he could win on the road (3-3) & with the last 2 being away vs. playoff contenders this decision couldnt have been stupider. This team wasnt 5-8 and outta of it searching for some lost identity, In fact it was the closest theyve had to an identity in 15 years. They were slugging it out in the toughest division in football with a chance to sweep Cincii and have splits with Pitts & Baltimore. QB is probably the hardest thing to do in pro sports along with NHL Goalie and having to coach in the WNBA. All that happened on Sunday is we were shown how painfully obvious Manziel is not even close to being 60 minute ready in this league, and the worst part is the way it all went down, now there is no going back to Hoyer, cuz we didnt just try out a 2nd string QB - we put in a punchline, a Snickers commercial. The season is not only lost but it will most likely spiral to 4 straight losses and what seemed to be hope in 2014 for the future has us right back to square 1 going into the 2015 season. Kosar is right, nothing has changed, the Bengals will win a Super Bowl before Cleveland does, and Im positive Pittsburgh and Baltimore will add multiple as well. Johnny Manziel will be our Tim Tebow but unfortunatley the Browns front office will never rescue itself like a Denver does time and time again.
