Our mission is to make zines (independent materiality) by people of color easy to find, distribute and share. We are an advocacy platform that curates interactive performances, community art and literacy projects. We have been an experiment in activism and community through materiality since 2010. Last year I produced a national tour for POCZP through 20 cities that resulted in public events at seven partner universities and over 20 non-academic/community-based events across the country. POCZP has tangibly amplified and supported over 100 emerging POC artists since the start of our experiment. I run this project from my home in my free time and with the support of volunteers nationwide.
