My buddy and all-around great guy Michael Joe Voght writes: On October 24th, I will be playing video games for 24 hours straight! You might ask yourself, why would any sane person do that?!?!?. I can guarantee you that Im very sane, and Im doing it for a good cause. Extra Life is something Ive heard about since the birth of it, but never thought I had the means to participate. This year, while I was attending E3, I signed up. Extra Life is a fundraiser for children hospitals around the world. Each gamer chooses the hospital they want to sponsor, and 100% of the proceeds go to that hospital. Ill be doing all the work, all I ask is for you to donate. This being my first year I set my goal low, but I expect my friends and family to put me way over my goal (my wish is to at least double my goal). So heres how it works. As a child I did a fundraiser for my elementary school, called jump rope for life, Where I would ask people to donate. They could donate for each jump rope I completed or donate a flat value, either way works. Same concept here. You can donate for each hour of gaming that I do or donate a flat value. I can guarantee you that I will be completing a full 24 hours gaming session (yes these are difficult even for someone like me). If you are interested in helping the cause, then you can follow the link attached to this post. It will take you directly to my page where you can donate now! All the proceeds will be going to Seattle Childrens Hospital. Thank you all for your donations and time. PS: EVEN IF YOU CANT DONATE YOU CAN STILL HELP BY SHARING WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
