My children broke up from school today for six weeks. For me, this is a huge sigh of relief. No school runs, no worrying about homework or packed lunches or making hair look tidy, for one and a half lovely months. And yet Im so sorry for the Mums out there who have to work full time, and who worry every school holiday that theyre not good Mums because they have to go to work every day. Im really very lucky, because for me, I get a lie in tomorrow. For so many other Mums they will be up at the crack of dawn, dropping their children off at a childminder and worrying all day that theyre not doing a good enough job for their babies. You are.
