My childrens birthdays are my 3 favourite days of the year. I love to celebrate how incredibly lucky I am to have been blessed with such beauty in my life. I also like to squeeze in a few extra cuddles with them too! As my strong, clever, witty and gorgeous daughter Tara celebrates her 12th birthday today, I feel a mixture of pure happiness and twinges of sadness. I hate that we are separated for the first birthday ever today. As I sit in a South Australian hospital with Zali, she sits in Victoria with Sam and Jesse.
