My church sign calendar today says: Confessing is a blessing. God - TopicsExpress

My church sign calendar today says: Confessing is a blessing. God says: 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (Through our confession we are admitting to God that we have done wrong. We humble ourselves before Him realizing we are weak and we need His strength & forgiveness) James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. (God knows that we need help. Strength & encouragement comes through numbers that share a common goal). Romans 10:9 Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Gods promise that if we turned to Him, trust & love Him, we are given the ultimate comfort & peace of an eternity in Heaven with the Father). Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (God promises all those who believe and truly place their complete trust in Him, His Spirit will be placed within them and an overwhelming joy will fill their heart, a special & precious gift indeed!). Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear. (God tells us that our sins, any sin, separates us from Him, so we need His forgiveness). 1 John 3:4 Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. (When we sin we are breaking Gods law, which is far worse than breaking mans law for the sentence handed down could be for an eternity!) Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (God issues us a guarantee of our salvation in Jesus). Matthew 6:14 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, (God says for us to love one another, build each other up in the Lord, correct each other in love and forgive them for the mistakes they have made and the Lord will be gracious to you and forgive your sins). So as one can see, through confession our blessings from God are too numerous to count. Let your blessings overflow to others through sharing of Christs love. Planned Acts of Christian Kindness (P.A.C.K.) is a great fun, easy and non-intrusive way to do just that. Love on people like Jesus did and continues to still today through people like you. The simple gift or service provides a little taste of Gods grace, freely given and cannot be bought or earned. Learn more and sign up for your free P.A.C.K. Kit at acts18.org today! .
