My clarification on the media reports carrying my views on bureaucracy and governance: Yesterday, there were reports in the media quoting me on the aspect of bureaucratic inaction and governance. I only stated that while the government may be new in Andhra Pradesh, the bureaucracy continues to be inflicted by the hangover of 10 years of inaction. BJP-TDP government has the capacity and the ideas to take Andhra Pradesh forward. However, there is a need to revamp the bureaucracy first. Bureaucrats are the face of the government with whom people interact on a daily basis. Therefore, people judge the government on the basis of how the bureaucracy functions at the lower levels. My statement published in the media yesterday shouldnt be seen as a criticism of the govt in AP. I stated my views based on the feedback at the grassroot level.
