(My comments are in parentheses.) Luke 12:22. And he said unto his disciples, (those who follow Him seriously) Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, (whether you live or die) what ye shall eat; (worrying about your next meal) neither for the body, (whether you be sick or healthy) what ye shall put on. (or for clothing) 12:23. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. (what is inside you - your human soul, is what God is cultivating) 12:24. Consider the ravens: (they came to feed Elijah when he was hiding from those who wanted to kill him) for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? (God can feed the trib saints even with birds who come to bring them food like Elijah if He chooses) 12:25. And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? (we are helpless to help ourselves...we must rely upon Him) 12:26. If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest? (we must recognize how powerless we truly are and Trust the King not only for food and clothing, but also for every breath we take and every beat of our hearts) 12:27. Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. (we must surrender to the King, and He takes wonderful care of us, providing for all of our needs) 12:28. If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? (We must trust Him implicitly like little children trust their parents to provide everything.) 12:29. And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. (Dont spend all your time attempting to provide for yourself....or waste your time doubting that He is there or that He cares for you. Spend your time IN THE WORD learning the message God has sent you and forming your relationship with Him instead and He takes care of the rest.) 12:30. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: (they are the seed of the enemy) and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. (We dont think like they do) 12:31. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. (all we have to do is focus on getting to know HIM and hanging out with Him - and He takes care of our provision for us while we sit at His feet and marvel at His magnificence!!)
