My cousins daughter, Julia Frisbie is having open heart surgery this morning. It will last 6-7 hours and we would love her to be in your thoughts and prayers today. A Prayer Before SurgeryWe bring you, O God, our fears and apprehensions. Respond with the blessings which inspire trust and create courage. Remind us that you use many instruments for healing:the science of medicine,its miracles of medication and machine,the skill of physicians and specialists andthose who work with them,the compassion of loved ones and friends.Use every instrument for the success of this operation so that its outcome will be healing.And where these instruments are not sufficient, intervene by your Holy Spirit to restore strength, to prevent pain and to hasten recovery.We ask it in the name of Jesus, the Great Physician.
