My daughter Sara Michaelson assigned me the number 7. So glad she didnt hit me with something like 22. If you like this, I can assign you a number as well. 1. Shook hands with Bobby Kennedy when he was campaigning in Oregon shortly before he was assassinated. 2. Helped launch Malcom Forbes hot air balloon from near Shoreacres park on the Oregon coast when he made his flight across America in the mid-70s. 3. Travelled completely around the world in less than 6 months in 1980, starting from Norfolk, Va through San Francisco, Honolulu, Agana, Clark AFB, Diego Garcia, Red Sea, Suez Canal, Athens Greece, Torremolinos Spain, Gibraltar, and back to Norfolk. 4. The most money I was ever paid for anything: a Cuban commuter (lived in Boquerón on the communist side of the fence, and worked on base at GTMO) smuggled un Peso in the hem of his trousers to pay me for the carcass of a fish Id speared. I still have that Peso! 5. During the 7 years I spent on the island of Guam while in the Navy, I survived a total of 47 typhoons with winds up to 237 mph, plus an 8.2 earthquake which lasted 60 seconds. 6. Performed on stage in a dress, high heels, wig, eyelashes, and mustaches during a Christmas Bob Hope show at the Mill Casino, performing with Louis Simpson and Bill Bradley as Diana Ross and the Supremes singing Stop in the name of Love. We won the grand prize (probably for the shock value when the screen opened!) 7. Tied my own trout flies since the age of 10.
