My daughter posted this article on her page and I am relieved to say our parenting skills were all normal....(for the 1970s that is)......my kids stories of death defying feats dodging lawn darts or actually playing Rock, Paper, Scissors with real scissors seemed to only make them stronger, and I will tell you this, when I went back to college and came home exhausted, often times they would have Campbells chicken noodle soup cooking on the stove about the time I arrived home, or their laundry done, or some other thoughtful unkid-like chore done. ..........those tuff monkeys....I loveum.
